Merry Christmas!

Spill it, sister! would like to wish the Internet a very Merry Christmas. We hope you are enjoying yourself, even if you’re trapped by a ridiculous amount of snow.

Your Spill it, sister! hostesses had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner together last night with our families. My face still hurts from laughing so much. I would tell you the stories, but I know they’re firmly in the “you had to be there” camp. Thank you, Lori and Joe, for the outstanding meal and lovely evening, which was delightful in every way.

It’s time to deliver gifts to our neighbors and then start making dinner, so I’m off. First, though, let’s all say a prayer together that the snow on the streets of Seattle and surrounding area melts soon and that all of our area libraries are back on a regular schedule tomorrow. That would be an awesome Christmas gift.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

  1. Amen to that, Sister! Christmas Eve, the laughing and the snow melting wishes. After almost 2 weeks of snow we heard a plow go down our street for the first time an hour ago–this after getting stuck getting out of our driveway, and again at the end of the block, last night on the way to family Christmas dinner, then on the same road on our way home we were nearly crashed into (missed by an inch or two) by joy-riding young hooligans in a four wheel drive chained truck, then even more stuck on the way back into our driveway! Thanks to our kindly neighbor Jim, Nathan, Joe and I were able to get the Jetta’s rear end out of the road and safely into our driveway after half an hour of digging and some bright orange sand we had leftover from our old gecko terrarium, so this morning it looked like a ghastly trail of blood leading from the road to our car.

  2. Most of my prayers relate, at least tangentially, to the Seattle Library system.
