Lori and Hannah met in the 8th grade, so they have been making each other laugh for a very long time. The great thing about being in your 40s and having a best friend that you’ve known since you were 13 is that you remain, in some ways, in a state of arrested development. All of the stuff that made us laugh when we were 13 is STILL funny. Are we immature? Perhaps. We prefer the term “easily amused.” We both live in the Seattle area — not in the same city, but close enough to see each other regularly and exchange a lot of books.
